About After School Programming
Our lesson plans and curriculum will cover a wide range of chess topics and implement a variety of study methods to keep the class engaging from beginning to end. Each week students will engage in a prepared lesson, solve puzzle worksheets, train their board vision and memory, play mini-games and more. Older students will compete in friendly tournaments and practice chess notation/game analysis. Prizes will be awarded to all students at the end of the program to promote a growth mindset.
The teachers at Mastermind Chess aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment, making sure that every student regardless of their level can feel uplifted and engaged throughout the semester.
